MY DYNAMIS

IGNITION XT

ABOUT ME

"I am in love with Ignition, which energizes and pumps me up for each workout! It provides clean energy, stimulates focus, includes recovery BCAA’s and zero crashes. Whether I am in the gym, out for a run, snowboarding down a mountain or wrestling on a mat, this stuff is the greatest."

Hello! My name is Laurin Holhoyi and I am ecstatic to be a part of the DYNAMIS TEAM with Grit II Valor. I am located in Regina, Saskatchewan and I have lived here virtually my entire life. My love of athletics and an active lifestyle sparked when I was very young after joining my first competitive sport. Growing up, I was lucky to be involved competitively with volleyball, soccer, basketball, track & field, field hockey. However, when I was in my first year of highschool, I was deemed too small for many of the athletics I had excelled in. Discouraged and unsure of how to further my athletic career, I took a giant leap and joined the wrestling team. Wrestling completely changed my life, and instilled that I didn’t have to change my body to fit into a certain standard of athletics. I wrestled competitively for 9 years. Within that time, I was an athlete representing Team Saskatchewan at both Western Canada Games and Canada Games. In 2009, I enrolled in the Facility of Kinesiology and I furthered my wrestling career becoming a varsity athlete for the University of Regina. I Competed in the CAN WEST Championships in 2010/2011 and travelled North America for other various competitions. My passions for wrestling lead me to join Jiujitsu, which has since been my second grappling outlet. My fitness industry career began 10 years ago. While I was attending high school, I had the opportunity to instruct a children’s fitness program at The YMCA of Regina. I completed my Fitness Instructor course in 2007, and from there I lead my classes for months. Although I was young, I knew this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. In 2010, I received another opportunity at The Saskatoon YMCA to take over the position of Fitness Director. I instructed a variety of classes, conducting fitness consultations, recruiting new Fitness Instructors, training new and continuing Fitness volunteers, attending fitness retreats, and Conducting Fitness Leader courses. I have also been a personal trainer for the last 6 years, where I met my future business partner. We recently launched our own business, Grit II Valor Fitness, with my fellow DYNAMIS teammate and best friend Stephanie Jones. We met while we were both working for a big box gym. We are both extremely fortunate for this opportunity to grow our knowledge, education and as athletes. We want to inspire and empower as many individuals as possible. I absolutely love snowboarding, longboarding, running and biking. The mountains and outdoor atmosphere is where I belong.
