Clean Pizza Recipe

Craving for a delicious pizza but want to stay on track towards your goals? Check out this great recipe for clean pizza with a brown rice, almond, and flax crust! 

Dough:

  • 2 1/4 cups of brown rice flour 
  • 1/4 cup almond flour 
  • 1 1/2 tbsp milled brown flax seed
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder 
  • 2 tsp salt 
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil 
  • 1/2 tbsp garlic powder 
  • 1 tsp rapid rise yeast
  • 1 1/2 cup of warm water 
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil 

Mix all dry ingredients then with a hand mixer slowly add water and oil and mix for about 4 min. Wrap in plastic wrap and let sit for an hour and a half. ( note batter won't rise) 

Get 1/2 cup of brown rice flour for after the 1.5 hr is up, using a spatula slowly add flour till forms a mouldable dough. 

Need out dough onto a greased pizza pan and place into oven at 325. Bake for 30-40 min. Should be golden on the bottom and a little on the edges 

Sauce: 

  • 1 cup of cherry tomatoes 
  • 1/4 cup of red pepper 
  • 1 tsp of Apple cider vinegar 
  • 1 minced garlic clove 
  • 1/2 tsp of salt and pepper 
  • 1 tsp dried oregano 

Blend all ingredients until smooth, the refrigerate until needed. Once dough is cooked spread sauce onto it and top how ever you please! 

Note: use low fat cheeses to keep as clean as possible and add chicken breast for more protein!

Cook for another 15-20 min or until cheese is bubbly and golden colour to it. You just want to make sure your not burning your crust!
